Anatomy and Physiology App Reviews

Well organized and easy to use. An overview of information. Helpful for getting the big picture but does not cover all the information Im expected to know (Anatomy & Physiology 1&2) Quiz option: This is great and I use it for mini review sessions while on the subway. If you answer incorrectly there is a "Why was it wrong" button. A great idea and usually the explanation is helpful but not always, sometimes it misses the point and doesnt address why your chosen answer was wrong. This button links to extra info that is not in review section and only accessible if you choose the wrong answer, should have option to see it regardless, sometimes a guess is right but youre not sure why! Does not have Lymphatic System, Immune System or Metabolism/Nutrition, all important topics in my A&P class. Like the narration option. Overall a good value, but dont expect it to give you all the details, still I find myself turning to this app more than others when I want to do some easy studying.

However there are several things incorrect about the information and the pictures. Kind of sad that you cant completely trust this app. But still a nice review while Im on the train.

I began the first test and discovered so many mistakes. The review of the anatomy section states that the crural region is the calf, but when I took the test and chose the answer, crural, for the question asking what the arrow was pointing to (it was pointing to the back of the lower leg) I got the answer wrong. I clicked on the little box that said "why was this wrong?", and it said that the crural region was the front of the leg! The test also asked a question about the anatomical position and after I got the answer wrong and clicked the "why was it wrong?" box, it said that the correct anatomical position was with the palms facing posteriorly! I stopped right there. How many more mistakes are there in this app? I want my money back

The problems with the multiple choice seem to be fixed and there is a brand new format, which I think is a lot better than the original.

I still am not a current student of anatomy, but I always like impressing my doctors with some unexpected understanding of the parts. Because this app makes it so easy and interesting to learn these lessons, I find myself using it more and more. I am not an angry birds type - would rather spend my iphone time learning something! Great app!

Having this app on my phone makes it easy to study whenever I have a few minutes. I like that I can pause the test if I need to and come back where I left off. Its also nice to have the audio lectures if I am doing something else and cant read the screen. I read another review that said it would be nice to see the reasoning behind a test answer even if you get it right, which would be helpful because I cant resist guessing sometimes, but I have used other apps that dont have explanations at all. If you go through the lectures I think all the information you need is there anyway. I think this is a great app, especially for the price. Its so much cheaper and more convenient than a review book. If you are studying for these subjects it is 100% worth it.

Very good, very detailed for anyone interested in these topics. Quizzes are excellent.

Narration is very nice, along with the end-chapter quizzes. Overall best anatomy app to date.

This app is so full of useful information! The diagrams really helped me with lab practicals and the quiz questions helped me review for tests. The "why the question was wrong" feature helped me understand several things I hadnt understood from class. I listened to the lectures on the train - the text and pictures scrolls along with the audio. I would recommend this app to anyone taking an anatomy class!

I love that its narrated but the narrators monotone voice puts me to sleep. Other then that great app 

I had to repeat 1st semester of A&P. With this app, I have no worries. Very in depth, great graphics / illustrations, comprehensive exams, and lectures are user-friendly. If youre struggling with A&P, you NEED this app.

It is very useful to study- but there are couple mistakes. The most abundant tissue is a connective tissue, not epithelial. Those who study anatomy will have this question in their tests. Just make sure that all info is true, because users pay for it- and its not fair when you get wrong information.

I love how this app is set up, full of information, easy to understand diagrams and audio. One could not ask for a more beneficial asset to have while learning about this amazing field.

This app has incorrect info. For example, it shows the medulla where the pons in. Use this and you might not do so well on tests. I do like some of the pics though.

This app is very helpful. Even though it has mistakes I think this app and the other anatomy apps by these ppl are great! I am nursing student and its very helpful as a review before tests. Obviously none of these apps r a substitute for studying and reading your books but it definitely helps a lot! If you know your stuff youll catch the mistakes! But it would be nice if they fixed them!

This app really saved me in anatomy class. My teacher was too busy to give me the support I need. This app allows me to review on the go!! This app is going to save my grade

A section on blood, 4" screen optimization and background play would be welcome additions.

Hoping for an update for the iPhone 5....

This is an ok app. The tests alone are one of the reasons why this app is worth a purchase as well as the fact that it tells you if you make an error, as well as explains to you the right answer. The lecture portion is the part that gave it 3 stars. The pictures (which u need more of) look outdated and the explanations need more details. Adding a animations would go a long way for the lectures.
